What is Baccarat?

Card Values: In baccarat, the cards have point values: cards 2 to 9 are worth their face value in points, 10s and face cards (Jacks, Queens, Kings) are worth zero points, and Aces are worth one point.

Objective: The objective is to have a hand with a value as close to 9 as possible.

Hand Values: The hand value is calculated by adding up the total points of the cards and then dropping the tens place. For example, a hand with a 7 and 9 would have a value of 6 (7+9=16, drop the tens place).

Drawing Rules: If either the player or banker has a hand value of 8 or 9 (a natural), no more cards are drawn, and the hand closest to 9 wins. If the player’s hand value is 5 or less, they receive another card. Otherwise, they stand. If the player stands, the banker draws a card if their hand value is 5 or less. If the player takes a third card, the banker follows specific rules based on their hand and the player’s third card.
